Larry,
I know your prayer chain works. This is my husband’s uncle. Please pass along.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I have a big prayer request for my Dad (Glenn Bridgeman). He was supposed to have a fairly “simple” procedure to clean out the blockage in a couple arteries in his neck on Tuesday, but when they did the dye test that morning, they found a lot of blockage in his heart as well (at least four arteries 100% blocked). So, he is scheduled for at least quadruple bypass heart surgery (they will fix the neck arteries at the same time) a week from today. He is 73 years old and has been taking care of my mom who has Alzheimers as well as my 13 year old nephew, so there are issues there as well in getting them taken care of during the long recovery process. It is only by the grace of God that he has been feeling fine (and still does) and has been able to do all that he has been doing up through this time. They only discovered this problem because he needed a physical to be able to re-fill a prescription.
Please pass the word so we can get as much prayer as possible that the doctors will properly diagnose each and every problem, that God will guide their minds and their hands as they operate, that the recovery process will be as quick and painless as possible, and that my mom and nephew are well taken care of during this time (my brother Craig and I are going to be up there for a few days each at separate times, but we can’t be there for the entire recovery time). This is a big prayer request, but we have a big and awesome God who fights for those who love Him. He is our joy, our hope, and our salvation.
“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”
2 Chronicles 20:17

9/14 – Dad is out of surgery. He had a quadruple bypass and they fixed the artery in his neck. When the surgeon was closing up, Dad’s heart had a little flutter. They were able to get this corrected. He is resting now, and should be awake late tonight or early tomorrow.
I saw him a few minutes ago, and he is resting but still under sedation.
Also, Mom is doing well She was diagnosed with alzheimers 6 or 7 years ago and has recently been placed in a nursing home.
